The Abyss
The abyssal zone is right at the bottom of the ocean floor, around 4,000–6,000 metres deep. This zone remains in perpetual darkness. It is made up of many different types of organisms, including microorganisms, crustaceans, snails, cephalopods, fish, and possibly some animals that have yet to be discovered!
At first glance these crabs look like they walked straight out of science fiction movie- however thay are actualy known as the gentle giants of the sea.
