The Abyss
The abyssal zone is right at the bottom of the ocean floor, around 4,000–6,000 metres deep. This zone remains in perpetual darkness. It is made up of many different types of organisms, including microorganisms, crustaceans, snails, cephalopods, fish, and possibly some animals that have yet to be discovered! The incredibly beautiful (and large) deep-sea hydroid can be found at the bottom of the ocan. This is the inspiration I used for this piece.
