Sammy's intuitive paintings blend together her own artistic imaginings with the endless beauty of the sea. In her larger pieces, she uses a fusion of soft layers and swirling, ethereal, marks to evoke depth within her work, drawing inspiration from the ocean currents, tide and the interplay of light on water. Her smaller pieces are a study of the ocean creatures that dwell beneath the waves.

Inspired by the wild ocean, salty creatures and of course, that beautiful place where the earth meets the sea. Paddle out and explore this wonderful joint exhibition with Lizzie Alsop and Sammy ann. This exhibition has a focus on the way water moved around from an aerial perspective.

This exhibition takes you on a journey through my my time spent dipping in the icy winter waters and the sense of calmness and community it brought to my life. whilst also focusing on ‘the light’ at the end of Winter. Those sunny beach days, paddle boarding mornings and the holidays I have been daydreaming about, ever since that first warm day broke through the colds!
